Of David. To you, Yahweh, I call out; my Rock, do not be deaf to me, lest, if you are silent toward me, I become like those who go down to the pit.
Hear the sound of my pleas for mercy when I cry to you for help, when I lift up my hands toward your holy inner sanctuary.
Do not drag me off with the wicked, with those who do iniquity, who speak peace with their neighbors while evil is in their heart.
Give to them according to their deeds, and according to the evil of their doings; according to the work of their hands give to them; render back to them their due reward.
Because they do not discern the deeds of Yahweh, nor the work of his hands, he will tear them down and not build them up.
Blessed be Yahweh, for he has heard the sound of my pleas for mercy.
Yahweh is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusted, and I was helped; so my heart exults, and with my song I give him thanks.
Yahweh is strength for them, and he is a stronghold of salvation for his anointed.
Save your people and bless your inheritance; shepherd them and carry them forever.
