Tobit is a heartwarming tale of faith, family, and divine intervention. It tells the story of two devout Israelites in exile: Tobit, a righteous man in Nineveh who is blinded after burying the dead, and Sarah, a young woman in Media whose seven husbands have each been killed by the demon Asmodeus on their wedding night. As both cry out to God in despair, He sends the angel Raphael in disguise to orchestrate their deliverance. Raphael guides Tobit’s son, Tobias, on a journey that leads him to Sarah. Through angelic wisdom, Tobias defeats the demon, marries Sarah, and returns home with a cure for his father’s blindness, revealing God’s hidden providence at work in the lives of his faithful people.
