1The heavens are recounting the glory of God, and the expanse declares the work of his hands.
2Day to day pours forth speech, and night to night imparts knowledge.
3There is no speech, and there are no words; their voice is not heard.
4Through all the earth their line goes out, and to the end of the world their words. For the sun he has set a tent among them,
5and it is like a bridegroom coming out from his canopy; it rejoices like a warrior to run its course.
6From the end of the heavens is its rising, and its circuit to their ends; and nothing is hidden from its heat.
The Law of Yahweh Is Perfect
7The law of Yahweh is perfect, restoring the soul; the testimony of Yahweh is trustworthy, making the simple wise.
8The precepts of Yahweh are upright, gladdening the heart; the commandment of Yahweh is pure, enlightening the eyes.
9The fear of Yahweh is clean, enduring forever; the judgments of Yahweh are truth, they are righteous altogether.
10They are more desirable than gold, than much fine gold, and sweeter than honey and drippings of the honeycomb.
11Moreover, by them your servant is warned; in keeping them there is great reward.
12Who can discern errors? Clear me from hidden faults.
13Also keep back your servant from presumptuous sins; let them not rule over me. Then I will be blameless, and I will be innocent of great transgression.
14May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing before you, Yahweh, my rock and my redeemer.
