1Give thanks to Yahweh; call on his name; make known his deeds among the peoples.
2Sing to him, sing praises to him; muse on all his wonders.
3Boast in his holy name; let the heart of those who seek Yahweh rejoice.
4Seek Yahweh and his strength; seek his face continually.
5Remember his wonders that he has done, his marvels and the judgments of his mouth,
6O offspring of Abraham his servant, sons of Jacob, his chosen ones!
7He is Yahweh our God; his judgments are in all the earth.
8He remembers his covenant forever, the word he commanded to a thousand generations,
9which he cut with Abraham, and his oath to Isaac.
10He established it for Jacob as a statute, for Israel as an everlasting covenant,
11saying, ‘To you I will give the land of Canaan as the portion of your inheritance.’
12When they were few in number, of little account, and sojourners in it,
13and they wandered from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people,
14he let no one oppress them, and on their account he rebuked kings:
15‘Do not touch my anointed ones, and to my prophets do no harm.’
16Then he called for a famine on the land; he broke every staff of bread.
17He sent before them a man—Joseph, sold as a slave.
18They afflicted his feet with fetters; his neck came into irons.
19until the time his word came to pass, the saying of Yahweh tested him.
20The king sent and released him; the ruler of peoples set him free.
21He made him lord over his house and ruler over all his possessions,
22to bind his princes at his will, and he would make his elders wise.
23Then Israel came to Egypt, and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
24And he made his people very fruitful, and made them stronger than their foes.
25He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal craftily with his servants.
26He sent Moses his servant, and Aaron whom he had chosen.
27They set among them the words of his signs, and wonders in the land of Ham.
28He sent darkness and made it dark, and they did not rebel against his words.
29He turned their waters into blood and killed their fish.
30Their land swarmed with frogs, even in the chambers of their kings.
31He spoke, and swarms of flies came, gnats throughout all their territory.
32He made their rains hail, flaming fire in their land.
33He struck their vines and their fig trees, and shattered the trees of their territory.
34He spoke, and the locust came, the young locust — without number.
35And it devoured every plant in their land, and devoured the fruit of their ground.
36Then he struck down every firstborn in their land, the firstfruits of all their vigor.
37Then he brought them out with silver and gold, and among his tribes there was none who stumbled.
38Egypt rejoiced when they went out, for dread of them had fallen upon them.
39He spread out a cloud as a covering, and fire to give light by night.
40They asked, and he brought quail, and with bread of heaven he satisfied them.
41He opened the rock, and waters gushed out; they flowed through the dry places as a river.
42For he remembered his holy word, and Abraham his servant.
43And he brought out his people with joy, his chosen ones with a shout of ringing.
44He gave them the lands of the nations, and they took possession of the toil of the peoples.
45so that they might keep his statutes and guard his laws. Praise Yah!
