God Is the Judge
1We give thanks to you, O God; we give thanks, for your name is near; people recount your wonders.
2“When I take an appointed time, I myself will judge with equity.
3When the earth melts away with all who dwell in it, it is I who steady its pillars. Selah.
4I say to the boastful, ‘Do not boast,’ and to the wicked, ‘Do not lift up the horn.
5Do not lift up your horn on high; do not speak with an arrogant neck.’”
6For not from the east or from the west, and not from the wilderness comes lifting up.
7For God is the one who judges; this one he brings low, and that one he lifts up.
8For a cup is in Yahweh’s hand, and the wine foams, full of mixture, and he pours from it; surely all the wicked of the earth will drain its dregs and drink them down.
9But as for me, I will declare it forever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
10“And all the horns of the wicked I will cut off, but the horns of the righteous will be lifted up.”
