Psalms 101

The AIT Bible

A King's Pledge of Integrity

1Of David. A psalm. Of loyal love and justice I will sing; to you, Yahweh, I will make music.

2I will act wisely in the way that is blameless — when will you come to me? — I will walk with the integrity of my heart within my house.

3I will set before my eyes no worthless thing; the doing of deviant deeds I hate — it will not cling to me.

4A crooked heart will turn away from me; evil I will not know.

5Whoever slanders his neighbor in secret, him I will destroy; the one haughty of eyes and proud of heart, him I cannot endure.

6My eyes are on the faithful of the land, to dwell with me; the one walking in the way that is blameless, he will minister to me.

7He who practices deceit will not dwell within my house; he who speaks lies will not stand firm before my eyes.

8Morning by morning I will destroy all the wicked of the land, to cut off from the city of Yahweh all workers of iniquity.
