Psalms 92

The AIT Bible

A psalm. A song. For the Sabbath day.

A Sabbath Song of Thanksgiving

It is good to give thanks to Yahweh, and to sing praises to your name, O Most High,

to declare your loyal love in the morning, and your faithfulness by night,

upon the ten-stringed instrument and upon the harp, to the melody of the lyre.

For you have made me glad, Yahweh, by your work; at the works of your hands I sing for joy.

How great are your works, Yahweh! Very deep are your thoughts!

The Wicked Perish, the Righteous Flourish

A brutish man does not know, and a fool does not understand this:

when the wicked spring up like grass and all the doers of iniquity flourish, it is only that they may be destroyed forever.

But you are on high forever, Yahweh.

For behold, your enemies, Yahweh — for behold, your enemies shall perish; all the doers of iniquity shall be scattered.

But you have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox; I am anointed with fresh oil.

My eye has looked upon those who watch against me; my ears hear of the evildoers who rise up against me.

The righteous one flourishes like the palm tree; he grows tall like a cedar in Lebanon.

Planted in the house of Yahweh, they flourish in the courts of our God.

They still bear fruit in old age; they are full of sap and green,

to declare that Yahweh is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.
