Psalms 13

The AIT Bible

0For the choirmaster. A psalm of David.

How Long, O Yahweh?

1How long, Yahweh? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?

2How long must I hold counsels within my self, sorrow in my heart by day? How long will my enemy be exalted over me?

3Look, answer me, Yahweh my God! Give light to my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death,

4lest my enemy say, ‘I have overcome him,’ and my foes rejoice when I am shaken.

5But as for me, I have trusted in your loyal love; my heart will rejoice in your salvation. I will sing to Yahweh, for he has dealt bountifully with me.
