Psalms 120

The AIT Bible

A Cry Against Deceitful Tongues

1A song of ascents. To Yahweh in my distress I called out, and he answered me.

2Yahweh, deliver my life from lying lips, from a deceitful tongue.

3What will he give to you, and what will he add to you, O deceitful tongue?

4Sharpened arrows of a warrior, with glowing coals of the broom tree!

5Woe to me, that I sojourn in Meshech, that I dwell among the tents of Kedar!

6Too long has my life dwelt with those who hate peace.

7I am peace; but when I speak, they are for war.
