1And Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying:
2This shall be the law of the one with a skin disease on the day of his cleansing: he shall be brought to the priest.
3And the priest shall go out to outside the camp, and the priest shall look, and behold, the diseased spot of leprosy has been healed away from the diseased person,
4then the priest shall command, and they shall take for the one being cleansed two live, clean birds, cedarwood, crimson yarn, and hyssop.
5And the priest shall command, and he shall slaughter the one bird into an earthen vessel over living water.
6As for the live bird, he shall take it together with the cedarwood, the crimson yarn, and the hyssop, and he shall dip them and the live bird in the blood of the bird that was slaughtered over the living water.
7And he shall sprinkle it upon the one being cleansed from the skin disease seven times, and he shall pronounce him clean, and he shall send the live bird away over the open field.
8And the one being cleansed shall wash his clothes, shave off all his hair, and bathe in water, and he shall be clean; and afterward he may come into the camp, but he shall remain outside his tent for seven days.
9And it shall be on the seventh day that he shall shave off all his hair—his head, his beard, and his eyebrows—all his hair he shall shave off; and he shall wash his clothes and bathe his body in water, and he shall be clean.
10And on the eighth day he shall take two male lambs without blemish, and one ewe lamb in its first year without blemish, and three-tenths of fine flour as a grain offering mixed with oil, and one log of oil.
11And the priest who cleanses shall present the man being cleansed, and them, before Yahweh at the entrance of the tent of meeting.
12And the priest shall take one of the male lambs and present it as a guilt offering, along with the log of oil, and he shall wave them as a wave offering before Yahweh.
13And he shall slaughter the lamb in the place where the sin offering and the burnt offering are slaughtered, in the holy place; for like the sin offering, the guilt offering belongs to the priest; it is most holy.
14And the priest shall take some of the blood of the guilt offering, and the priest shall put it on the lobe of the right ear of the one being cleansed, on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot.
15And the priest shall take some of the log of oil and pour it into the palm of the priest’s left hand.
16And the priest shall dip his right finger into the oil that is on his left palm, and sprinkle some of the oil with his finger seven times before Yahweh.
17And some of the remaining oil that is on his palm the priest shall put on the lobe of the right ear of the one being cleansed, on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot, on top of the blood of the guilt offering.
18And what is left of the oil that is on the priest’s palm he shall put on the head of the one being cleansed; and the priest shall make atonement for him before Yahweh.
19And the priest shall perform the sin offering and make atonement for the one being cleansed from his uncleanness, and afterward he shall slaughter the burnt offering.
20And the priest shall offer up the burnt offering and the grain offering on the altar; and the priest shall make atonement for him, and he shall be clean.
21But if he is poor and his means do not reach so far, then he shall take one male lamb as a guilt offering for the wave offering, to make atonement for him, and one-tenth of fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering, and a log of oil,
22and two turtledoves or two young pigeons, whatever his means can reach, one to be a sin offering and the other a burnt offering.
23And on the eighth day he shall bring them for his cleansing to the priest, to the entrance of the tent of meeting, before Yahweh.
24And the priest shall take the lamb of the guilt offering and the log of oil, and the priest shall wave them as a wave offering before Yahweh.
25And he shall slaughter the lamb of the guilt offering, and the priest shall take some of the blood of the guilt offering and put it on the lobe of the right ear of the one being cleansed, on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot.
26And the priest shall pour some of the oil into the palm of the priest’s left hand.
27And the priest shall sprinkle with his right finger some of the oil that is on his left palm seven times before Yahweh.
28And the priest shall put some of the oil that is on his palm on the lobe of the right ear of the one being cleansed, on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot, on the place of the blood of the guilt offering.
29And what is left of the oil that is on the priest’s palm he shall put on the head of the one being cleansed, to make atonement for him before Yahweh.
30And he shall offer one of the turtledoves or of the young pigeons, whatever his means can reach,
31whatever his hand can afford, the one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering, together with the grain offering; and the priest shall make atonement for the one being cleansed before Yahweh.
32This is the instruction for the one in whom there is a mark of skin-disease, whose hand cannot afford enough for his cleansing.
33And Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying:
34When you come into the land of Canaan, which I am giving you as a possession, and I put a mark of skin-disease in a house of the land of your possession,
35then the one to whom the house belongs shall come and tell the priest, saying, ‘Something like a mark has appeared to me in the house.’
36And the priest shall command that they empty the house before the priest comes to inspect the mark, so that nothing that is in the house becomes unclean; and afterward the priest shall come to inspect the house.
37And he shall inspect the mark, and if the mark on the walls of the house consists of greenish or reddish depressions, and their appearance is deeper than the wall,
38then the priest shall go out of the house to the doorway of the house, and he shall shut up the house for seven days.
39And the priest shall return on the seventh day and inspect, and if the mark has spread on the walls of the house,
40then the priest shall command that they pull out the stones in which the mark is, and throw them outside the city into an unclean place.
41And he shall have the house scraped inside all around, and they shall pour out the plaster that they have scraped off outside the city into an unclean place.
42Then they shall take other stones and bring them in to replace the stones, and he shall take other mortar and plaster the house.
43But if the mark returns and breaks out in the house after the stones have been pulled out and after the house has been scraped and after it has been plastered,
44then the priest shall come and inspect, and if the mark has spread in the house, it is a malignant skin-disease in the house; it is unclean.
45He shall tear down the house—its stones and its timbers and all the plaster of the house—and carry them outside the city to an unclean place.
46And whoever enters the house during all the days it was shut up shall be unclean until the evening.
47And whoever lies down in the house shall wash his clothes, and whoever eats in the house shall wash his clothes.
48But if the priest comes and inspects, and the mark has not spread in the house after the house has been plastered, then the priest shall pronounce the house clean, because the mark has healed.
49And to purify the house from sin he shall take two birds and cedar wood and crimson yarn and hyssop.
50And he shall slaughter one of the birds over an earthenware vessel with living water.
51And he shall take the cedar wood and the hyssop and the crimson yarn and the living bird, and dip them in the blood of the slaughtered bird and in the living water, and sprinkle it on the house seven times.
52So he shall purify the house from sin with the blood of the bird and with the living water and with the living bird and with the cedar wood and with the hyssop and with the crimson yarn.
53And he shall let the living bird go outside the city into the open field, and he shall make atonement for the house, and it shall be clean.
54This is the instruction for every kind of mark of skin-disease and for a scaly infection,
55and for skin-disease of a garment and of a house,
56and for a swelling and for a scab and for a bright spot,
57to give instruction on when it is unclean and when it is clean. This is the instruction for skin-disease.
