1Then he brought me to the main hall and measured the jambs: six cubits wide on one side and six cubits wide on the other side—the width of the tent.
2The width of the entrance was ten cubits, and the sidewalls of the entrance were five cubits on one side and five cubits on the other. He measured its length: forty cubits, and the width: twenty cubits.
3Then he went inside and measured the jamb of the entrance: two cubits; and the entrance: six cubits; and the width of the entrance: seven cubits.
4He measured its length: twenty cubits, and its width: twenty cubits, at the front of the main hall. And he said to me, ‘This is the Most Holy Place.’
5Then he measured the wall of the house: six cubits; and the width of each side chamber: four cubits, all around the house on every side.
6The side chambers were chamber upon chamber, thirty-three times; and they entered into the wall belonging to the house for the side chambers all around, so as to be held fast, but they were not held fast in the wall of the house itself.
7And it grew wider as it wound upward, story by story, for the house’s surrounding structure went upward, story by story, all around the house; therefore the width of the house increased as it went up. And so one ascended from the lowest story to the highest by way of the middle one.
8I also saw that the house had a raised platform all around; the foundations of the side chambers were a full reed—six long cubits—up to the joining.
9The width of the wall which was for the side chamber, toward the outside, was five cubits; and what was left free was the place of the side chambers that belonged to the house.
10Between the side rooms was a width of twenty cubits all around the house on every side.
11The entrances of the side chambers opened onto the open space, one entrance toward the north and one entrance toward the south; and the width of the open space was five cubits all around.
12The building that faced the separate area on the western side was seventy cubits wide; and the wall of the building was five cubits thick all around, and its length was ninety cubits.
13Then he measured the house: a hundred cubits in length; and the separate area, the building, and its walls: a hundred cubits in length.
14And the width of the front of the house and the separate area toward the east was a hundred cubits.
15Then he measured the length of the building facing the separate area behind it, with its galleries on one side and the other: a hundred cubits. And the inner main hall and the porticoes of the court,
16the thresholds, and the narrow windows, and the galleries all around the three of them—opposite the threshold was a paneling of wood all around—and from the floor up to the windows (the windows being covered),
17up above the entrance, as far as the inner house and outside, and on every part of the wall all around, both inside and outside, were measurements.
18It was made with cherubim and palm trees, a palm tree between each cherub and the next, and each cherub had two faces:
19a human face toward the palm tree on one side, and a lion’s face toward the palm tree on the other side. So it was made throughout the whole house all around.
20From the floor up to above the entrance, cherubim and palm trees were carved, and on the wall of the main hall.
21The main hall had squared doorposts, and the front of the sanctuary had an appearance like that.
22The altar was of wood, three cubits high and its length two cubits; its corners, its length, and its walls were of wood. And he said to me, ‘This is the table that is before Yahweh.’
23The main hall and the sanctuary each had two doors.
24Each door had two leaves, two turning leaves: two for one door and two leaves for the other.
25On them—on the doors of the main hall—were made cherubim and palm trees, like those made on the walls; and there was a wooden canopy over the front of the portico on the outside.
26There were narrow windows and palm trees on one side and the other, on the sidewalls of the portico, and on the side chambers of the house, and the canopies.
