The Tabernacle's Curtains and Frame

Moreover you shall make the tabernacle with ten curtains of finely twisted linen, and blue, purple, and scarlet yarn; with cherubim, the work of a skilled craftsman, you shall make them.

The length of each curtain shall be twenty-eight cubits, and the width of each curtain four cubits; all the curtains shall have one measure.

Five of the curtains shall be joined to one another, and the other five curtains joined to one another.

You shall make loops of blue on the edge of the one curtain, from the end in the set, and likewise you shall make them on the edge of the outermost curtain in the second set.

You shall make fifty loops on the one curtain, and fifty loops you shall make on the edge of the curtain that is in the second set, the loops opposite one another.

You shall make fifty clasps of gold, and you shall join the curtains to one another with the clasps, so that the tabernacle may be one.

You shall make curtains of goats’ hair for a tent over the tabernacle; eleven curtains you shall make of them.

The length of each curtain shall be thirty cubits, and the width of each curtain four cubits; the eleven curtains shall have one measure.

You shall join five of the curtains by themselves, and six of the curtains by themselves, and you shall fold over the sixth curtain at the front of the tent.

You shall make fifty loops on the edge of the one curtain that is outermost in the coupling, and fifty loops on the edge of the curtain that couples the second set.

You shall make fifty clasps of bronze, and put the clasps into the loops, and join the tent together so that it becomes one.

As for the overhang that is left over from the curtains of the tent, the half-curtain that is left over shall hang over the back of the tabernacle.

And the cubit on one side and the cubit on the other side of what is left over in the length of the curtains of the tent shall hang over the sides of the tabernacle, on one side and the other, to cover it.

You shall make a covering for the tent of ram skins dyed red, and a covering of fine leather over that.

You shall make the frames for the tabernacle of acacia wood, standing upright.

Ten cubits shall be the length of each frame, and a cubit and a half the width of each frame.

Each frame shall have two tenons, joined to one another; so you shall do for all the frames of the tabernacle.

You shall make the frames for the tabernacle: twenty frames for the south side, toward the south.

You shall make forty silver sockets under the twenty frames: two sockets under one frame for its two tenons, and two sockets under the next frame for its two tenons.

And for the second side of the tabernacle, on the north side, twenty frames,

with their forty silver sockets, two sockets under one frame and two sockets under the next frame.

For the rear of the tabernacle, toward the west, you shall make six frames.

You shall make two frames for the corners of the tabernacle at the rear.

They shall be paired at the bottom, and together they shall be complete up to its top, into the one ring; so it shall be for both of them; they shall form the two corners.

There shall be eight frames, with their silver sockets—sixteen sockets: two sockets under one frame and two sockets under the next frame.

You shall make crossbars of acacia wood: five for the frames of the one side of the tabernacle,

and five crossbars for the frames of the second side of the tabernacle, and five crossbars for the frames of the side of the tabernacle at the rear, toward the west.

The middle crossbar, halfway up the frames, shall run through from end to end.

You shall overlay the frames with gold, and make their rings of gold as holders for the crossbars, and overlay the crossbars with gold.

And you shall erect the tabernacle according to its plan that you were shown on the mountain.

You shall make a veil of blue, and purple, and scarlet yarn, and finely twisted linen; it shall be made with the work of a skilled craftsman, with cherubim.

You shall hang it on four pillars of acacia overlaid with gold, their hooks of gold, upon four bases of silver.

You shall hang the veil under the clasps, and shall bring in there, inside the veil, the ark of the testimony; and the veil shall divide for you between the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place.

You shall put the mercy seat upon the ark of the testimony in the Most Holy Place.

You shall place the table outside the veil, and the lampstand opposite the table on the south side of the tabernacle; and the table you shall put on the north side.

You shall make a screen for the entrance of the tent of blue, and purple, and scarlet yarn, and finely twisted linen, the work of an embroiderer.

You shall make for the screen five pillars of acacia and overlay them with gold, their hooks of gold; and you shall cast for them five bases of bronze.
