Exodus 27

The AIT Bible

The Altar of Burnt Offering

You shall make the altar of acacia wood, five cubits long and five cubits wide—the altar shall be square—and three cubits its height.

You shall make its horns on its four corners; its horns shall be of one piece with it, and you shall overlay it with bronze.

You shall make its pots for removing its ashes, and its shovels, its basins, its forks, and its firepans; all its utensils you shall make of bronze.

You shall make for it a grating, a network of bronze, and on the net you shall make four rings of bronze at its four corners.

You shall set it under the ledge of the altar, from below, so that the net reaches halfway up the altar.

You shall make poles for the altar, poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with bronze.

Its poles shall be inserted into the rings, so that the poles are on the two sides of the altar when it is carried.

You shall make it hollow, of boards; as was shown to you on the mountain, so they shall make it.

The Courtyard of the Tabernacle

You shall make the courtyard of the tabernacle. For the south side, toward the Negev, hangings for the courtyard of finely twisted linen, a hundred cubits long for the one side,

with its twenty pillars and their twenty bases of bronze; the hooks of the pillars and their bands of silver.

Likewise for the north side in length, hangings a hundred cubits long, with its twenty pillars and their twenty bases of bronze, the hooks of the pillars and their bands of silver.

And the width of the courtyard on the west side: hangings of fifty cubits, their pillars ten and their bases ten.

And the width of the courtyard on the east side, toward the sunrise, fifty cubits.

Fifteen cubits of hangings for the one shoulder-side, their pillars three and their bases three;

and for the other shoulder-side, fifteen cubits of hangings, their pillars three and their bases three.

For the gate of the courtyard, a screen of twenty cubits, of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and finely twisted linen, the work of an embroiderer; their pillars four and their bases four.

All the pillars of the courtyard all around shall be banded with silver, their hooks silver and their bases bronze.

The length of the courtyard shall be a hundred cubits, and the width fifty by fifty, and the height five cubits, of finely twisted linen, and their bases of bronze.

All the utensils of the tabernacle used in all its service, and all its tent pegs, and all the tent pegs of the courtyard, shall be of bronze.

Oil for the Lampstand

And you shall command the sons of Israel to bring you pure oil of beaten olives for the light, to keep a lamp burning continually.

In the tent of meeting, outside the veil that is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall arrange it from evening until morning before Yahweh. This is a perpetual statute throughout their generations, on behalf of the sons of Israel.
