Zechariah 14

The AIT Bible

The Day of Yahweh

Behold, a day is coming for Yahweh, when your spoil will be divided in your midst.

For I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem for the battle, and the city will be captured, the houses plundered, and the women ravished. Half the city will go out into exile, but the rest of the people will not be cut off from the city.

Then Yahweh will go out and fight against those nations, as when he fights on a day of battle.

On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which faces Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west by a very great valley; half of the mountain will move to the north and half of it to the south.

And you will flee by the valley of my mountains, for the valley of the mountains will reach to Azal; you will flee as you fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then Yahweh my God will come, and all the holy ones with you.

And it will be on that day that there will be no light; the precious ones will congeal.

And it will be one continuous day — known to Yahweh — neither day nor night; and it will happen that at evening time there will be light.

And it will be on that day that living waters will flow out from Jerusalem, half of them toward the eastern sea and half of them toward the western sea; in summer and in winter it will be so.

And Yahweh will be king over all the earth. On that day Yahweh will be one, and his name one.

All the land will be turned into a plain, from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem; but Jerusalem will be lifted up and remain in her place, from the Gate of Benjamin to the place of the First Gate, to the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hananel to the king’s winepresses.

People will dwell in her, and there will be no more ban of destruction; and Jerusalem will dwell in security.

Plague on Jerusalem's Foes

And this will be the plague with which Yahweh will strike all the peoples who waged war against Jerusalem: their flesh will rot while they stand on their feet, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongue will rot in their mouth.

And it will be on that day that a great panic from Yahweh will be among them; each will seize the hand of his neighbor, and his hand will rise against the hand of his neighbor.

And Judah too will fight at Jerusalem, and the wealth of all the surrounding nations will be gathered: gold and silver and garments in very great abundance.

And so also will be the plague on the horse, the mule, the camel, and the donkey, and on all the animals that are in those camps — like this plague.

The Nations Worship the King

And it will be that everyone who is left of all the nations that came against Jerusalem will go up year by year to worship the King, Yahweh of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Booths.

And it will be that whichever of the families of the earth does not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, Yahweh of hosts, upon them there will be no rain.

And if the family of Egypt does not go up and does not come, then upon them there will be no rain; there will come the plague with which Yahweh strikes the nations that do not go up to keep the Feast of Booths.

This will be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not go up to keep the Feast of Booths.

On that day there will be on the bells of the horses, ‘Holy to Yahweh,’ and the pots in the house of Yahweh will be like the basins before the altar.

And every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah will be holy to Yahweh of hosts, and all who sacrifice will come and take some of them and boil in them; and on that day there will no longer be a Canaanite in the house of Yahweh of hosts.
