1In you, Yahweh, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame.
2In your righteousness deliver me and rescue me; incline your ear to me and save me.
3Be for me a rock of dwelling, to come to continually; you have commanded my salvation, for you are my crag and my stronghold.
4My God, rescue me from the hand of the wicked, from the grasp of the unjust and cruel man.
5For you are my hope, Lord Yahweh, my confidence from my youth.
6On you I have leaned from the womb; you are the one who took me from my mother’s belly; my praise is continually of you.
7I have become like a portent to many, but you are my strong refuge.
8My mouth is filled with your praise, all the day with your glory.
9Do not cast me off at the time of old age; when my strength fails, do not forsake me.
10For my enemies speak against me, and those who watch for my life take counsel together,
11saying, ‘God has forsaken him; pursue and seize him, for there is no deliverer.’
12God, do not be far from me; my God, hasten to my help.
13May those who accuse my life be put to shame and consumed; may those who seek my harm be wrapped in reproach and disgrace.
14But I will hope continually, and will add to all your praise.
15My mouth will recount your righteousness, all the day your salvation, though I do not know their number.
16I will come with the mighty deeds of the Lord Yahweh; I will make mention of your righteousness, yours alone.
17God, you have taught me from my youth, and until now I declare your wondrous deeds.
18And even to old age and gray hair, God, do not forsake me, until I declare your arm to the generation, your might to all who come.
19Your righteousness, God, reaches to the heights; you who have done great things—God, who is like you?
20You who have made me see many distresses and troubles will again revive me, and from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up.
21You will increase my greatness, and turn again to comfort me.
22I too will praise you with the harp for your faithfulness, my God; I will make music to you with the lyre, Holy One of Israel.
23My lips will shout for joy when I make music to you, and my life, which you have redeemed.
24My tongue also will murmur of your righteousness all the day, for those who seek my harm have been put to shame and disgraced.
