1A Song of Ascents. Those who trust in Yahweh are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but abides forever.
2Jerusalem — mountains surround her, and Yahweh surrounds his people from now and forever.
3For the scepter of wickedness will not rest upon the allotted land of the righteous, so that the righteous do not stretch out their hands to injustice.
4Do good, Yahweh, to the good, and to those upright in their hearts.
5But those who turn aside to their crooked ways — Yahweh will lead them off with the workers of iniquity. Peace be upon Israel.
