1And Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying:
2Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them: When a man makes a special vow, at your valuation of persons for Yahweh,
3then your valuation for a male from twenty years old up to sixty years old shall be a valuation of fifty shekels of silver, by the shekel of the sanctuary.
4But if it is a female, your valuation shall be thirty shekels.
5And if from five years old up to twenty years old, your valuation for the male shall be twenty shekels, and for the female ten shekels.
6And if from a month old up to five years old, your valuation for the male shall be five shekels of silver, and for the female your valuation shall be three shekels of silver.
7And if from sixty years old and above: if a male, your valuation shall be fifteen shekels, and for the female ten shekels.
8But if he is too poor for your valuation, then he shall be presented before the priest, and the priest shall value him; according to what the hand of the one making the vow can reach, the priest shall value him.
9And if it is an animal of which they may bring an offering to Yahweh, all that anyone gives of it to Yahweh shall be holy.
10He shall not replace it or exchange it, good for bad or bad for good; and if he does exchange one animal for another, then both it and its substitute shall be holy.
11And if it is any unclean animal of which they may not bring an offering to Yahweh, then he shall present the animal before the priest,
12and the priest shall value it, whether good or bad; as the priest values it, so it shall be.
13But if he indeed redeems it, then he shall add a fifth to your valuation.
14And when a man consecrates his house as holy to Yahweh, then the priest shall value it, whether good or bad; as the priest values it, so it shall stand.
15And if the one who consecrated it wishes to redeem his house, then he shall add a fifth of the silver of your valuation to it, and it shall be his.
16And if a man consecrates to Yahweh part of a field of his holding, then your valuation shall be according to its seed: a homer of barley seed at fifty shekels of silver.
17If he consecrates his field from the year of the Jubilee, it shall stand according to your valuation.
18But if he consecrates his field after the Jubilee, then the priest shall calculate for him the silver according to the years remaining until the year of the Jubilee, and it shall be deducted from your valuation.
19And if the one who consecrated the field indeed wishes to redeem it, then he shall add a fifth of the silver of your valuation to it, and it shall be secured to him.
20But if he does not redeem the field, or if he has sold the field to another man, it may no longer be redeemed.
21And when the field goes out in the Jubilee, it shall be holy to Yahweh, like a field devoted to destruction; it shall belong to the priest as his holding.
22And if he consecrates to Yahweh a field he has bought, which is not part of the field of his holding,
23then the priest shall calculate for him the amount of your valuation up to the year of the Jubilee, and he shall give your valuation on that day as a holy thing to Yahweh.
24In the year of the Jubilee the field shall return to the one from whom it was bought, to the one whose landed holding it is.
25And every valuation of yours shall be by the shekel of the sanctuary: twenty gerahs shall make the shekel.
26Only a firstborn among animals, which belongs as firstborn to Yahweh, no one may consecrate; whether ox or sheep, it is Yahweh’s.
27But if it is among the unclean animals, then he may redeem it at your valuation and add its fifth to it; and if it is not redeemed, then it shall be sold at your valuation.
28Yet no devoted thing that a man devotes to Yahweh from all that he has—whether man or animal or the field of his holding—may be sold or redeemed; every devoted thing is most holy to Yahweh.
29No one devoted, who is devoted from among human beings, may be ransomed; he shall surely be put to death.
30And every tithe of the land, from the seed of the land or from the fruit of the tree, belongs to Yahweh; it is holy to Yahweh.
31And if a man wishes to redeem any of his tithe, he shall add a fifth of it to it.
32And every tithe of herd or flock, everything that passes under the staff—the tenth one shall be holy to Yahweh.
33He shall not examine whether it is good or bad, nor shall he exchange it; but if he does exchange it, then both it and its substitute shall be holy—it shall not be redeemed.
34These are the commandments that Yahweh commanded Moses for the sons of Israel on Mount Sinai.
