If, then, you were raised together with Christ, seek the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
Set your minds on the things above, not on the things upon the earth.
For you died, and your life has been hidden with Christ in God.
When Christ, our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with him in glory.
Put to death, therefore, the members that are upon the earth: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry,
on account of which the wrath of God is coming.
among which you also once walked, when you were living in these things.
But now you also, put away all these: anger, rage, malice, slander, filthy speech from your mouth.
Do not lie to one another, since you have stripped off the old self with its practices,
and have clothed yourselves with the new self, which is being renewed unto full knowledge according to the image of the one who created it,
where there is no Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free, but Christ is all and in all.
Put on, therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, heartfelt compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience,
bearing with one another and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against someone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also you.
And over all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.
And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to God.
And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all things in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.
Husbands, love your wives and do not be embittered against them.
Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well-pleasing in the Lord.
Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged.
Slaves, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh, not with eye-service, as people-pleasers, but in sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord.
Whatever you do, work at it from the soul, as for the Lord and not for people,
knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. Serve the Lord Christ.
For the one who does wrong will be paid back for the wrong he did, and there is no partiality.
