For the choirmaster. Of the sons of Korah. A psalm.
You showed favor, Yahweh, to your land; you restored the fortunes of Jacob.
You took away the iniquity of your people; you covered all their sin. Selah.
You gathered in all your wrath; you turned back from the heat of your anger.
Restore us, God of our salvation, and put away your vexation with us.
Will you be angry with us forever? Will you prolong your anger to generation after generation?
Will you not turn again and revive us, that your people may rejoice in you?
Show us your loyal love, Yahweh, and grant us your salvation.
Let me hear what the God Yahweh will speak, for he will speak peace to his people and to his faithful ones — but let them not turn back to folly.
Surely his salvation is near to those who fear him, that glory may dwell in our land.
Loyal love and faithfulness have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed.
Faithfulness springs up from the earth, and righteousness looks down from the heavens.
Yahweh himself will give what is good, and our land will yield its produce.
Righteousness will go before him and will set his footsteps on the way.
