1Then Yahweh said to me, “Go again, love a woman loved by another and committing adultery, just as Yahweh loves the children of Israel, though they turn to other gods and love raisin-cakes.”
2So I bought her for myself for fifteen shekels of silver and a homer of barley and a lethek of barley.
3And I said to her, “For many days you shall remain with me; you shall not play the harlot, and you shall not belong to any man — and I likewise toward you.”
4For many days the children of Israel shall remain without king and without official, without sacrifice and without sacred pillar, without ephod or teraphim.
5Afterward the children of Israel shall return and seek Yahweh their God and David their king, and they shall come trembling to Yahweh and to his goodness in the latter days.
