Psalms 3

The AIT Bible

0A psalm of David, when he fled from before Absalom his son.

Trust Amidst Many Foes

1Yahweh, how many are my foes! Many are rising up against me.

2Many are saying of my life, “There is no salvation for him in God.” Selah.

3But you, Yahweh, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head.

4With my voice I call out to Yahweh, and he answers me from his holy mountain. Selah.

5I lay down and slept; I woke, for Yahweh sustains me.

6I will not fear the myriads of people who have set themselves against me all around.

7Arise, Yahweh! Save me, my God! For you have struck all my enemies on the jaw; the teeth of the wicked you have shattered.

8Salvation belongs to Yahweh; your blessing be upon your people. Selah.
