0A song. A psalm of David.
1My heart is steadfast, O God; I will sing and I will make music—yes, with my glory.
2Awake, O harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn.
3I will praise you among the peoples, O Yahweh, and I will make music to you among the nations.
4For your loyal love is great, above the heavens, and your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.
5Be exalted above the heavens, O God, and over all the earth let your glory be.
6So that your beloved ones may be delivered, save with your right hand and answer me.
7God has spoken in his holiness: ‘I will exult; I will divide up Shechem and measure out the Valley of Succoth.
8Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; and Ephraim is the stronghold of my head; Judah is my scepter.
9Moab is my washbasin; over Edom I cast my sandal; over Philistia I shout in triumph.’
10Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will lead me to Edom?
11Have you not rejected us, O God? And you do not go out, O God, with our armies.
12Give us help against the foe, for the deliverance of man is worthless.
13With God we will do valiantly, and it is he who will trample our foes.
