1And the word of Yahweh came to me, saying:
2Son of man, set your face against the sons of Ammon, and prophesy against them.
3Say to the sons of Ammon: Hear the word of the Lord Yahweh! Thus says the Lord Yahweh: Because you said, ‘Aha!’ over my sanctuary when it was profaned, and over the land of Israel when it was made desolate, and over the house of Judah when they went into exile—
4therefore, behold, I am giving you to the sons of the East as a possession, and they will set their encampments among you and place their dwellings among you; they will eat your fruit, and they will drink your milk.
5And I will make Rabbah a pasture for camels and the sons of Ammon a resting place for flocks; then you will know that I am Yahweh.
6For thus says the Lord Yahweh: Because you clapped your hand and stamped your foot and rejoiced with all the contempt in your soul against the land of Israel,
7therefore, behold, I have stretched out my hand against you, and I will give you as plunder to the nations; I will cut you off from the peoples and destroy you from the lands. I will annihilate you, and you will know that I am Yahweh.
8Thus says the Lord Yahweh: Because Moab and Seir said, ‘Behold, the house of Judah is like all the nations,’
9therefore, behold, I am opening the flank of Moab from the cities—from its cities at its frontier—the glory of the land: Beth-jeshimoth, Baal-meon, and Kiriathaim;
10to the sons of the East, along with the sons of Ammon, and I will give it as a possession, so that the sons of Ammon will not be remembered among the nations.
11And upon Moab I will execute judgments, and they will know that I am Yahweh.
12Thus says the Lord Yahweh: Because Edom acted with vengeance against the house of Judah and became terribly guilty and took vengeance on them,
13therefore thus says the Lord Yahweh: I will stretch out my hand against Edom and cut off from it human and beast, and I will make it a wasteland; from Teman to Dedan they will fall by the sword.
14And I will lay my vengeance on Edom by the hand of my people Israel, and they will act against Edom according to my anger and according to my wrath; then they will know my vengeance—declaration of the Lord Yahweh.
15Thus says the Lord Yahweh: Because the Philistines acted with vengeance and took vengeance with contempt in the soul, to destroy with everlasting enmity,
16therefore thus says the Lord Yahweh: Behold, I am stretching out my hand against the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethites and destroy the remnant of the seacoast.
17And I will execute great vengeance upon them with wrathful rebukes; then they will know that I am Yahweh, when I lay my vengeance upon them.
