1And at that time Michael shall arise, the great prince who stands over the sons of your people. And there shall be a time of distress, such as has not been since there was a nation until that time. But at that time your people shall be delivered, everyone found written in the book.
2And many of those who sleep in the dusty ground shall awake, these to everlasting life, and these to reproaches, to everlasting abhorrence.
3And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever.
4But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.
5Then I, Daniel, looked, and behold, two others were standing, one on this bank of the river, and one on that bank of the river.
6And one said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, ‘How long until the end of these wonders?’
7And I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, and he raised his right hand and his left hand toward heaven and swore by the one who lives forever: that it would be for a time, times, and a half; and when the shattering of the power of the holy people is finished, all these things shall be completed.
8And I heard, but I did not understand. So I said, ‘My lord, what shall be the outcome of these things?’
9And he said, ‘Go, Daniel, for the words are shut up and sealed until the time of the end.’
10‘Many shall be purified and made white and refined, but the wicked shall act wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but those who are wise shall understand.
11‘And from the time the regular offering is taken away and the abomination that desolates is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days.
12‘Blessed is the one who waits and reaches the one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days.
13‘But you, go your way to the end; and you shall rest, and you shall stand up for your allotted portion at the end of the days.’
