A Summary of David's Conquests

And it happened after this that David struck the Philistines and subdued them; and David took Metheg-ammah out of the hand of the Philistines.

And he struck Moab and measured them off with a line, making them lie down on the ground; and he measured off two lines to put to death and one full line to keep alive. So Moab became servants to David, bearers of tribute.

And David struck Hadadezer son of Rehob, king of Zobah, as he went to restore his control at the River.

And David captured from him a thousand and seven hundred horsemen and twenty thousand foot soldiers; and David hamstrung all the chariot horses, but left of them a hundred chariots.

And Aram of Damascus came to help Hadadezer, king of Zobah, and David struck down twenty-two thousand men of Aram.

And David placed garrisons in Aram of Damascus, and Aram became servants to David, bearers of tribute. And Yahweh gave victory to David wherever he went.

And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadadezer and brought them to Jerusalem.

And from Betah and from Berothai, cities of Hadadezer, King David took a very great quantity of bronze.

And Toi, king of Hamath, heard that David had struck down all the army of Hadadezer.

And Toi sent Joram his son to King David to greet him and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer and struck him down—for Hadadezer had been at war with Toi—and in his hand were articles of silver and articles of gold and articles of bronze.

These too King David dedicated to Yahweh, along with the silver and the gold that he had dedicated from all the nations that he had subdued:

from Aram and from Moab and from the sons of Ammon and from the Philistines and from Amalek, and from the plunder of Hadadezer son of Rehob, king of Zobah.

And David made a name for himself when he returned from striking down Aram in the Valley of Salt—eighteen thousand.

And he placed garrisons in Edom—throughout all Edom he placed garrisons—and all Edom became servants to David. And Yahweh gave victory to David wherever he went.
