Christianity is unbelievably simple. For two thousand years, men have complicated the daylight out of it. This is the way back — to the bare cross, with nothing bolted on.
The Core We All Share
Not a creed men invented. The oldest confession in the faith is written right into the Bible — the apostles’ own words, handed down:
“Christ died for our sins… he was buried… he was raised on the third day, according to the Scriptures.”

Every believer who has ever lived — Catholic, Orthodox, Baptist, Pentecostal, all of them — stands on this same handful of truths, straight from Scripture:
Notice what isn’t here: none of the extras anyone has bolted on since — no pope, no prosperity gospel, no “our-group-only,” no new doctrine from any camp. Just Jesus, and what his apostles taught. That is the part we all still share.
The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, his only Son our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father; from there he shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic (universal) church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
catholic (lowercase) simply means universal — it was every Christian’s word for 1,500 years before it became any denomination’s name. And every line above is drawn straight from Scripture: a summary of the core, never an addition to it.
The Noise
A thousand religions. Ten thousand rules. Every feed selling a system, a ladder, a middleman, a membership, a fee. It is exhausting, and it is meant to be.
But at the center of the real thing, there was never a system. There was a Person, and a cross, and a one-word invitation. Come.
What Jesus Actually Said
Believe. Repent. Follow. Love. That was the whole of it. No priest. No price. No paperwork.
Did His Men Keep to His Path?
No new system. No caste of priests. No treasury of merit. The very same gospel — Christ, and him crucified. They walked in his footprints and left them plain enough for us to follow.
When Man Started Adding
Piece by piece, century by century, men bolted their own things onto a cross that needed nothing added.
Every one of them, an addition. Strip them all off, and the cross is still standing there — bare, and enough.
The Core, in Six Verses
Believe. Confess. Call. And you are saved, made a child of God, with God himself living in you. That is the whole of it. Come with empty hands.
